Arusha Lutheran Medical<\/a> Centre (ALMC), a major referral hospital<\/a> in northern Tanzania<\/a>, has taken significant steps to address this issue through the implementation of a medical<\/a> waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> system. In this article, we will explore the importance of medical<\/a> waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> at ALMC and its contribution to infection control.<\/p>\n

The Problem of Medical<\/a> Waste<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, also known as healthcare waste<\/a>, refers to any waste<\/a> generated during the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of humans or animals.
