In Tanzania<\/a>, the Bariadi Regional Hospital<\/a> has been struggling to effectively manage its waste<\/a>, prompting a comparative analysis of waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> technologies to identify the most suitable solution. This article presents a study of the hospital<\/a>’s experience with different incineration<\/a> technologies, highlighting the challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned.<\/p>\n

The Bariadi Regional Hospital<\/a>, located in the Simiyu Region of Tanzania<\/a>, generates a significant amount of waste<\/a>, including infectious and non-infectious materials, sharps, and pharmaceuticals. The hospital<\/a>’s waste<\/a> management practices have been inadequate, with insufficient storage, collection, and disposal<\/a> facilities, leading to environmental<\/a> and health<\/a> concerns.
