Temeke Regional Referral Hospital<\/a> is a 500-bed hospital<\/a> that provides medical<\/a> services to a population of over 1.5 million people in the Dar es Salaam region. The hospital<\/a> generates a significant amount of medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, including infectious waste<\/a>, sharps, and non-infectious waste<\/a>. To manage this waste<\/a>, the hospital<\/a> uses a waste<\/a> incinerator<\/a>, which has been in operation since 2010. The incinerator<\/a> has a capacity to burn 500 kg of waste<\/a> per day and is equipped with a scrubber<\/a> to reduce emissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n
