Mwananyamala Hospital<\/a>, located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania<\/a>, is one of the busiest and most respected healthcare facilities in the country. With a patient load of over 500,000 per year, the hospital<\/a> plays a critical role in providing medical<\/a> care to the local community. However, with the high volume of patients comes a significant challenge: managing the hospital<\/a>’s waste<\/a>. In 2015, Mwananyamala Hospital<\/a> installed a state-of-the-art waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> system, designed to safely and efficiently manage the hospital<\/a>’s medical<\/a> waste<\/a>. The system, which includes a high-temperature<\/a> incinerator<\/a> and a scrubber<\/a> to remove pollutants, is capable of processing up to 500 kg of waste<\/a> per day. The incinerator<\/a> is fueled by diesel<\/a> and operates at temperatures of up to 1200\u00b0C, ensuring that all waste<\/a> is completely destroyed and reduced to a harmless ash.<\/p>\n
