Rwanda<\/a>, a small landlocked country in East Africa<\/a>, has made significant strides in recent years in managing its waste<\/a>, particularly in the healthcare sector. The country’s waste<\/a> management challenges are similar to those faced by many other developing countries, including inadequate infrastructure, lack of resources, and insufficient regulatory frameworks. However, the government of Rwanda<\/a> has implemented various initiatives to address these challenges, including the development of hospital<\/a> incinerators. This article will examine the case of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK) hospital<\/a> incinerator<\/a>, a model of effective waste<\/a> management in Rwanda<\/a>.<\/p>\n
