The Kangemi <a href=\"https:\/\/gofullday.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"75\" title=\"waste\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waste<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Incinerator<\/a> is a notable example, with a large population living in close proximity to the facility. To mitigate the adverse effects of air <a href=\"https:\/\/ctwct.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"101\" title=\"pollution\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pollution<\/a>, it is essential to understand the dispersion patterns of pollutants emitted from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incinerator<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Methodology<\/h2>\n<p>The theoretical approach employed in this study involves the use of a Gaussian plume model, which is a widely used method for predicting the dispersion of pollutants in the atmosphere. The model takes into account factors such as wind speed, wind direction, and atmospheric stability to estimate the concentration of pollutants at various distances from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incinerator<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following parameters were used as input for the model:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li>Emitter characteristics: The height and diameter of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incinerator<\/a> stack, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcepe.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"92\" title=\"temperature\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temperature<\/a> and velocity of the exhaust gases.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Atmospheric conditions: Wind speed, wind direction, and atmospheric stability, which were obtained from local meteorological data.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Pollutant characteristics: The type and quantity of pollutants emitted from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incinerator<\/a>, including particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and volatile organic compounds.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Results<\/h2>\n<p>The model simulations revealed that the dispersion of pollutants from the Kangemi <a href=\"https:\/\/gofullday.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"75\" title=\"waste\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waste<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Incinerator<\/a> is significantly influenced by wind direction and speed. The results showed that the highest concentrations of pollutants were predicted to occur in the northeastern direction, which is consistent with the prevailing wind direction in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The model also predicted that the concentration of pollutants decreases exponentially with distance from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiclover.com\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"76\" title=\"incinerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incinerator<\/a>, with the majority of pollutants being dispersed within a 5-kilometer radius.
