This study aimed to investigate the public perception and awareness of the incinerator<\/a> and its effects on the community.<\/p>\n

Introduction<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

The Nkoilale Health<\/a> Centre Waste<\/a> Incinerator<\/a> was established to manage medical<\/a> waste<\/a> from the health<\/a> centre and other nearby healthcare facilities. However, the incinerator<\/a> has raised concerns among the local community, who<\/a> fear that it may be releasing toxic pollutants into the air and water, posing a risk to their health<\/a> and the environment.<\/p>\n

Methodology<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

This study used a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. A survey was conducted among 200 community members, and 20 in-depth interviews were held with key stakeholders, including health<\/a> centre staff, local leaders, and community members. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis.<\/p>\n
