Rizgary Teaching Hospital<\/a> is a major healthcare facility located in Erbil, Iraq<\/a>. The hospital<\/a> generates a significant amount of waste<\/a>, including medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, which is incinerated on site. The incineration<\/a> facility at the hospital<\/a> is a simple, non-combustion<\/a> type incinerator<\/a> that burns waste<\/a> at temperatures between 800-1000\u00b0C. However, the facility lacks proper emission control systems, which can lead to the release of pollutants into the environment.<\/p>\n

Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n

This study was conducted over a period of six months, during which time air samples were collected from the surrounding area of the hospital<\/a>. The samples were analyzed for particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
