The country’s healthcare facilities generate a significant amount of waste<\/a>, including sharp objects, chemicals, and infectious materials, which pose a risk to patients, healthcare workers, and the environment.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The waste<\/a> incinerator<\/a> at Kacyiru District Hospital<\/a> is a state-of-the-art facility that uses a combustion<\/a> process to destroy healthcare waste<\/a> at high temperatures. The incinerator<\/a> is designed to handle a wide range of waste<\/a> types, including sharps, non-sharps, and pathological waste<\/a>.
