The Shammah Health<\/a> Clinic Incinerator<\/a>, located in Kigali, Rwanda<\/a>, serves as a case study for effective waste<\/a> management in the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Background:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The healthcare sector in Rwanda<\/a> generates a substantial amount of waste<\/a>, including infectious waste<\/a>, sharps, and non-infectious waste<\/a>. Improper disposal<\/a> of this waste<\/a> poses significant risks to the environment, healthcare workers, and the community at large. The Rwandan government has implemented various initiatives to improve waste<\/a> management in the healthcare sector, including the introduction of incinerators in healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Shammah Health<\/a> Clinic Incinerator<\/a>:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Shammah Health<\/a> Clinic Incinerator<\/a> is a state-of-the-art facility that uses a combination of heat and chemical reactions to break down waste<\/a> into harmless ash and gases.
