Infection control is a critical aspect of healthcare, and proper waste<\/a> disposal<\/a> plays a vital role in preventing the spread of infections. Healthcare facilities generate a significant amount of waste<\/a>, including infectious, chemical, and radioactive materials, which can pose a risk to human health<\/a> and the environment if not managed properly. In Rwanda<\/a>, the Ministry of Health<\/a> has implemented policies and guidelines to ensure that healthcare facilities adhere to proper waste<\/a> disposal<\/a> practices.<\/p>\n

The Clinique de Byumba Experience<\/h2>\n

The Clinique de Byumba, a 120-bed hospital<\/a>, serves a population of approximately 300,000 people.
