Background<\/h2>\n

Medical<\/a> waste<\/a> management is a critical issue in Tanzania<\/a>, where inadequate disposal<\/a> practices can lead to environmental<\/a> pollution<\/a> and health<\/a> risks for patients, staff, and the surrounding community. The Tarime District Hospital<\/a>, like many other healthcare facilities in the country, faced challenges in managing its medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, including a lack of proper disposal<\/a> facilities and inadequate training for staff.<\/p>\n
