In Iraq<\/a>, the management of hospital<\/a> waste<\/a> is a significant concern due to the lack of effective regulations and infrastructure. One of the common practices in Iraqi hospitals is the incineration<\/a> of waste<\/a>, which has severe environmental<\/a> implications. This article will examine the environmental<\/a> impact of hospital<\/a> waste<\/a> incineration<\/a>, using Fevers Private Hospital<\/a> in Iraq<\/a> as a case study.<\/p>\n

Fevers Private Hospital<\/a> is a medium-sized hospital<\/a> located in the city of Baghdad, Iraq<\/a>. The hospital<\/a> generates a significant amount of waste<\/a>, including infectious and non-infectious materials, such as disposable gloves, syringes, and medical<\/a> equipment. The hospital<\/a> uses incineration<\/a> as its primary method of waste<\/a> management, which involves burning<\/a> the waste<\/a> at high temperatures to reduce its volume and pathogen load.<\/p>\n

Environmental<\/a> Impacts<\/p>\n

The incineration<\/a> of hospital<\/a> waste<\/a> has several environmental<\/a> impacts, including:<\/p>\n
