At the center of the controversy is the hospital<\/a>’s waste<\/a> incinerator<\/a>, which has been in operation for several years. This article aims to investigate the efficiency and safety of the incinerator<\/a>, highlighting the potential risks and benefits associated with its use.<\/p>\n

Background<\/strong><\/p>\n

Waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> is a common practice in hospitals worldwide, as it provides a convenient and efficient way to dispose of medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, including infectious materials, sharps, and pathological waste<\/a>. However, incineration<\/a> can also release harmful pollutants into the environment, posing risks to human health<\/a> and the environment. The Kandara Sub County Hospital<\/a>’s incinerator<\/a> is a small-scale facility that burns a significant amount of waste<\/a>, including medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, every day.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the hospital<\/a> should consider alternative waste<\/a> management practices, such as recycling or composting, to reduce the amount of waste<\/a> generated.<\/p>\n
