Tanzania<\/a>, like many other low-income countries, faces significant challenges in managing healthcare waste<\/a>, particularly in rural areas. The lack of proper waste<\/a> management infrastructure and lack of awareness among healthcare workers and community members have resulted in environmental<\/a> and health<\/a> hazards. Misenyi Health<\/a> Centre, located in the Kagera Region of northwestern Tanzania<\/a>, has been at the forefront of addressing this issue through its incinerator<\/a> project. This article highlights the experiences and lessons learned from this project, which aimed to improve healthcare waste management<\/a> practices in rural Tanzania<\/a>.<\/p>\n
