The healthcare sector is one of the largest contributors to environmental<\/a> pollution<\/a>, particularly in developing countries where waste<\/a> management infrastructure is often inadequate. In East Africa<\/a>, the issue of healthcare waste management<\/a> is particularly pressing, with many hospitals and healthcare facilities lacking the resources and infrastructure to properly dispose of medical<\/a> waste<\/a>. However, one hospital<\/a> in Rwanda<\/a> is setting a positive example for sustainable healthcare waste management<\/a> in the region: Mutoyi Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n
