Rwanda<\/a>, a small landlocked country in East Africa<\/a>, has made significant strides in improving its healthcare system in recent years. However, the management of healthcare waste<\/a> remains a significant challenge, particularly in rural areas. The Kiziguro District Hospital<\/a>, located in the Gatsibo District of Rwanda<\/a>, has been at the forefront of addressing this issue through the implementation of a healthcare waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> system. This article will explore the experiences and lessons learned from the Kiziguro District Hospital<\/a>’s healthcare waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> project, highlighting the successes, challenges, and implications for healthcare waste management<\/a> in Rwanda<\/a> and beyond.<\/p>\n
