Waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> is a widely used method for managing medical<\/a> waste<\/a>, particularly in hospitals. Ibn Sina Hospital<\/a>, located in Iraq<\/a>, is one of the largest healthcare facilities in the country, generating a significant amount of medical<\/a> waste<\/a> daily. The hospital<\/a> has been using various waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> technologies to manage its waste<\/a>, but the efficiency, emissions<\/a>, and cost of these technologies have not been extensively studied. This article presents a comparative study of different waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> technologies used at Ibn Sina Hospital<\/a>, focusing on their efficiency, emissions<\/a>, and cost.<\/p>\n

Medical<\/a> waste<\/a> incineration<\/a> is a common practice in hospitals worldwide, as it reduces the volume of waste<\/a> and kills pathogens. However, incineration<\/a> technologies can have significant environmental<\/a> and health<\/a> impacts if not properly managed. Ibn Sina Hospital<\/a>, with a capacity of over 1,000 beds, generates approximately 2-3 tons of medical<\/a> waste<\/a> daily. The hospital<\/a> has been using different incineration<\/a> technologies, including rotary kilns, fluidized bed incinerators, and pyrolysis units.<\/p>\n
