In Sudan, despite having one of the largest healthcare systems in the world, the problem of healthcare waste management is still a serious issue. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In hospitals, waste materials from medical procedures and single-use items (gloves, needles, plastic bottles) are often burned or disposed of in inappropriate ways.
